Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a Resident Assistant/Personal Care Aide (PCA) to provide quality care and daily living assistance to residents in Chester, VA. You will report incidents, follow policies, assist with activities, and help maintain a clean, safe environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, completion of a state-approved PCA program, and CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days.

Qualifications

• Must communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Must be organized and able to work well with all levels of personnel.
• Must be a contributing member of the nursing team and follow supervisor instructions.
• Must be polite and considerate of residents, visitors, and co-workers at all times.
• Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with activities of daily living.
• Perform housekeeping duties as directed by supervisor.
• Respond promptly to all resident calls for assistance or emergencies.
• Communicate resident status and upcoming information to team.
• Assist in move-in transitions with emotional support to new residents.
• Follows confidentiality policies regarding resident information.
• Assists residents to dining and activities and checks attendance.
• Report ill residents and status to appropriate individuals.
