Job summary

NAT-SU Healthcare is seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Admissions Specialist to manage intake screenings, gather documentation, and coordinate admissions with clinical and support teams. The role requires strong communication, empathy, and familiarity with intake procedures, including Medicaid processing.

The position involves front office management, collaboration with case management and outside agencies, and scheduling admissions while ensuring a compassionate, organized intake

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• Minimum of 2 years in healthcare or behavioral health, esp. admissions/intake.
• Effective communication in high-stress situations.

Responsibilities

• Answer inquiry calls from potential clients and conduct intake screenings.
• Coordinate with case management and medical team to ensure smooth admissions.
• Submit client information to clinical directors for approval and notify program managers.
• Maintain front office appearance and respond to emails promptly.
• Coordinate intakes and transportation for new clients; complete Medicaid applications.
• Attend meetings and training to stay updated on best practices in admissions.
