Job summary

The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Economic Assistance, is seeking a Workforce Coordinator to join the team in Grand Island or surrounding locations. This role partners with the local Department of Labor programs to help customers achieve self-sufficiency through outreach, intake, and data collection.

Qualifications

• Post high school coursework or training in social/behavioral sciences, counseling, business, public administration, education, marketing, or a related field; or experience in client development and case management including interviewing, research and direct customer service.
• Must have worked with SNAP programs within the last 3 years.
• Valid driver's license or ability to provide independent transportation.

Responsibilities

• Interact face-to-face and by phone with customers from varied backgrounds to gather financial and demographic information.
• Work with local DOL programs to help customers achieve self-sufficiency.
• Conduct community outreach and verify customer data in computer databases.
• Prepare correspondence and document customer information across multiple systems.
