Qualifications

• Able to read and write in English and document information electronically.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals who live in their own apartment, home or a family members home.
• Promote and teach a variety of independent living skills (e.g., financial management, balancing checkbooks, navigating the community).
• Assist with completing assessments, providing outcome recommendations, complete progress reports and attend/participate in individual served meetings.
• Assist in orientation and supervision of new staff.

A CSC must understand the different needs of individuals with disabilities. As a CSC you must have the ability to exercise flexibility and assertiveness, have a positive work ethic, problem solve, and navigate c hallenging situations effectively. A CSC must also be able to work without direct supervision.

Summary

The CSC provides care to individuals served in our community and must understand the different needs of individuals with disabilities. The individuals we serve are vulnerable adults and children in need of support in their daily activities.
