Job summary

EON, Inc. is seeking a dedicated CSC to provide care to individuals with disabilities in the community. You will support daily living, teach independent living skills, and document progress to help clients thrive.

This is a part-time, day-shift role with every other weekend worked, within an employee-owned organization offering ESOP benefits. Candidates must have a valid driver's license, pass background checks, and be able to read, write, and document electronically in English.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid driver’s license and pass a Motor Vehicle Record check.
• Must not be disqualified by criminal background studies.
• Able to read and write in English.
• Able to document information electronically.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals who live in their own apartment, home or a family member's home.
• Promote and teach independent living skills such as budgeting, shopping, and community access.
• Assist with completing assessments, provide outcome recommendations, complete progress reports, and attend meetings.
• Assist in orientation and supervision of new staff.

Schedule:

P art-time position available with flexible scheduling. Day shift available (i ncludes every other weekend ) .

What you will bring to our team:

A CSC must understand the different needs of individuals with disabilities. As a CSC you must have the ability to exercise flexibility and assertiveness, have a positive work ethic, problem solve, and navigate challenging situations effectively. A CSC must also be able to work without direct supervision.

Requirements

• Meet the physical requirements as outlined in this position description and physical assessment form (pushing/pulling, lifting, bending, etc.).
• Able to read and write in English.

Summary

The CSC provides care to individuals served in our community and must understand the different needs of individuals with disabilities. The individuals we serve are vulnerable adults and children in need of support in their daily activities.

The right person for this position would be eager to help in the following areas:

• Support individuals who live in their own apartment, home or a family members home.
• Promote and teach a variety of independent living skills. Examples include financial management i.e.: balancing checkbooks, accessing the community (grocery store, bank, restaurants, laundry mat, fitness center etc.).
• Assist with completing assessments, providing outcome recommendations, complete progress reports and attend/participate in individual served meetings.
• Assist in orientation and supervision of new staff.
