Minimum Qualifications

Seven years of experience in health or developmental services, counseling, health care management, or social services; OR six years of full-time work plus four years of relevant experience; OR a bachelor's degree plus four years of relevant experience; OR an advanced degree in a related field plus three years of relevant experience.

Experience substitution: Every 30 semester hours earned can substitute for one year of experience, up to four years.

Job Specification

Function of Work: To supervise staff responsible for program implementation, coordination, monitoring, and evaluation for developmental disabilities services.

Level of Work: Supervisor.

Supervision Received: Broad review from a higher-level professional or administrator.

Supervision Exercised: Direct-line supervision over professional and support staff.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Screen inquiries and conduct assessments for individuals seeking services.
• Develop support plans and coordinate statewide program elements.
• Monitor program satisfaction and fiscal soundness.
• Maintain knowledge of community resources and advocate for individuals and families.
• Participate in court hearings, respond to crises, and prepare reports and documentation.
• Coordinate referrals, supports, and funding sources for individuals.
• Represent the agency at meetings, hearings, and in the community.
