GAT is seeking dynamic individuals to join its team of aviation professionals.

Variable Hour, Non-Exempt

Job Summary:

The Customer Service Supervisor is responsible for supervising all functions of airline customer service operations, including auditing flight paperwork for compliance, completing personnel evaluations for leads and trainers, coordinating proper handling of OJIs, ensuring safety and working conditions, attending meetings, and serving as a liaison with airline customers and airport authorities.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Monitor and ensure the safe and efficient operation of all airline ground support equipment.
  2. Report discrepancies in functional and mechanical aspects of ground support equipment.
  3. Coordinate service for cargo and baggage with carriers to meet on-time schedules.
  4. Ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
  5. Coordinate activities with other departments and supervisors.
  6. Determine manpower needs and ensure disciplinary procedures are fair and timely.
  7. Maintain attendance and punctuality standards.
  8. Perform under pressure within fixed time constraints.
  9. Read and interpret aircraft weight, balance instructions, labels, and routing tags.
  10. Comply with all relevant federal, state, municipal, airport, and carrier regulations.
  11. Brief crews before flights on their roles and procedures.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  1. Strong understanding of Airline Customer Service.
  2. Experience in Airport Ground Handling.
  3. Computer skills (6+ months) and knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
  4. Ability to operate electronic devices.
  5. Proven supervisory experience.
  6. Operational planning and resource management skills.
  7. Knowledge of GSE maintenance issues.
  8. Understanding of commercial aviation issues.
  9. High School diploma or GED.
  10. Minimum age 18.
  11. Ability to process information promptly.
  12. Valid Driver's License.
  13. Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
  14. Previous ramp or airline experience.
  15. Complete training and maintain certifications.
  16. Clear FBI fingerprint background check.
  17. Complete all required training.
Physical Requirements:
  1. Physically fit to stand, lift, bend, push, and pull for extended periods.
  2. Repetitively lift up to 70 pounds.
  3. Work outside in various weather conditions with loud noises.
  4. Work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  5. Work extended hours on short notice during non-routine operations.
