Alongside a manager who will help coordinate and lead operations, you'll help oversee staff, collaborate with teammates, and assist where needed. **Job Responsibilities**

1. Produce and maintain work schedules and prepare production packets (production sheets and recipes).
2. Direct daily activities.
3. Maintain food production ensuring safety and quality according to policies, procedures, and department requirements.
4. Ensure safe, organized, and hazard-free storage of food items.
5. Maintain serving schedules; ensure all food items are served per menu specifications in a safe and appropriate manner following Aramark policies and procedures.
6. Maintain a sanitary department following health and safety codes and regulations.
7. Maintain accurate inventory weekly.
8. Prepare orders as needed to ensure accurate production for the location.
9. Supervise and evaluate employees; counsel; promote employee growth, efficiency, morale, and teamwork.
10. Maintain a safe and hazard-free working environment.
11. Train and mentor other food service workers.
12. Maintain logs on all equipment maintenance within the department.
13. Ensure completion of food safety/temperature logs with appropriate corrective actions as necessary.
14. Perform preventative maintenance checks.
15. Recommend replacement of existing equipment to meet facility needs.
16. Proficiency in multitasking.
17. Perform other duties as requested by the Food Service Director or Manager, especially when skills and experience are vital to completing programs.
18. Fill in for absent employees at the location as necessary.
19. Maintain knowledge of daily catering events; ensure they are prepared and delivered on time.
20. Work occasional night and weekend catered events.
21. Attend food service meetings with staff.
22. Maintain communication with staff via email, phone, and inter-office mail.
23. Perform cashier duties as needed.
24. Promote good public relations.

**Qualifications**

• Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions.
• Must complete a sanitation course before or during the first year.
• Knowledge of operating an efficient, cost-effective program.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
• Maintain emotional control under stress.
• Ability to resolve interpersonal situations.
• Strong organizational skills.
