Position: Member Services Supervisor
The Member Services Supervisor is responsible for supervising the operation and personnel of member services, implementing member-centered strategies to build member involvement, and ensuring staff excellence in providing services and programs that contribute to member retention, satisfaction, and growth. The role also involves developing and implementing training programs that foster a responsive work culture addressing member issues and needs.

Qualifications:
- College degree in a related field with 1-2 years of supervisory experience in a sales environment.
- Excellent communication, organizational, record-keeping, and computer skills, with the ability to build effective teams.
- Ability to work well with volunteers, employees, board members, and members.
- Proficiency in operating all office equipment.
- Strong leadership skills with a passion for member service and building a culture of excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluating staff.
- Build a committed staff team aligned with YMCA’s mission and values.
- Conduct staff training and orientations.
- Enhance service quality through staff recognition, satisfaction, and retention programs.
- Ensure policy and procedure compliance.
- Foster a member-centered work culture.
- Coordinate member orientations, programs, and events such as member appreciation days and birthday recognitions.
- Manage facility scheduling, lobby displays, and communication materials.
- Provide backup support at the front desk.
- Participate in staff meetings and oversee payroll and accounts payable related to the department.
- Manage office functions including registration systems, supplies, and cleanliness.
- Consult with members to guide them into suitable wellness programs.
- Create a friendly environment for members using fitness and wellness services.
- Learn member names, encourage exercise routines, and monitor participation and progress.
- Follow up with members via calls and emails to support their wellness goals.
- Assist in providing facility tours and scheduling member orientations.
- Work collaboratively with staff to fulfill YMCA’s mission.
- Participate in the Annual Campaign and perform other duties as assigned.
