GAT is seeking dynamic individuals to join its team of aviation professionals.

Classification: Variable Hour, Non-Exempt

Job Summary: The Customer Service Supervisor is responsible for supervising all functions of airline customer service operations, including auditing flight paperwork for compliance, completing personnel evaluations for leads and trainers, coordinating proper handling of OJIs, and ensuring safety policies and procedures are followed. The role involves attending safety and team meetings, managing personnel functions, and serving as a liaison with airline customers and airport authorities.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor and ensure the safe and efficient operation of all airline ground support equipment.
  2. Report discrepancies in ground support equipment, both functional and mechanical.
  3. Coordinate with carriers to ensure cargo and baggage services meet schedules.
  4. Maintain equipment safety and operational status.
  5. Coordinate activities with other departments through communication with supervisors and managers.
  6. Determine manpower needs and ensure disciplinary procedures are fair and timely.
  7. Adhere to attendance and tardiness standards.
  8. Perform under pressure within fixed time constraints.
  9. Interpret aircraft weight and balance instructions, hazardous materials labels, and baggage routing tags.
  10. Comply with all relevant federal, state, municipal, airport authority, and carrier regulations.
  11. Brief crews before flights on duties and procedures.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of airline customer service.
  • Experience in airport ground handling.
  • Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Word and Excel (6+ months).
  • Ability to operate electronic devices such as phones, computers, fax machines, and printers.
  • Proven supervisory experience.
  • Operational planning and resource allocation skills.
  • Knowledge of GSE maintenance issues.
  • Understanding of commercial aviation issues.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • Ability to process information efficiently.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Previous ramp or airline experience preferred.
  • Successful completion of all training and certifications required.
  • Ability to pass FBI fingerprint background check.

Physical Requirements:

  • Physical fitness to perform duties involving standing, lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling.
  • Repetitive lifting up to 70 pounds.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions with exposure to loud noises.

Working Hours:

  • Flexible to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Extended hours on short notice during non-routine operations.
