Job summary

Comstock Companies is seeking a Security Officer for ParkX Management to ensure safe, smooth operations for residents, tenants, and guests. You will patrol the property, control access, enforce rules, and coordinate with property teams to maintain a secure, welcoming environment.

The role requires a Virginia state security certification, a high school diploma, and at least one year in a customer-service setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Must be certified security officer by the state of Virginia.
• Minimum 1 year experience in customer-service related field.
• Valid driver's license without major violations.
• Flexible to work after hours and weekends as needed.
• Outgoing personality with ability to relate to diverse groups and build relationships.
• Strong sense of urgency and problem-solving skills.
• Must be credible, trustworthy and operate with integrity.
• Must be accountable and strive for excellence.
• Customer-focused and results-oriented; eager to learn and grow.
• Exceptional oral and written communication, active listening, and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Complete hourly patrol routes of the property.
• Control access for guests, tenants and vendors.
• Maintain safety and report any hazards to management.
• Conduct routine foot patrols around the building and plaza areas.
• Assist marketing during events at Reston and Loudoun Station as needed.
• Manage valet at Reston Station and ensure proper plaza traffic flow.
• Enforce rules (e.g., no dogs on plaza) and update guests on procedures.
• Report any suspicious activity to management and coordinate with property teams.

Education

High School Diploma

Virginia Security Officer certification

1 year customer-service experience

Valid driver's license

Flexibility for after-hours/weekends

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
