Job summary

Children's Aid Society seeks a Community School Director at Curtis High School in Staten Island. You will lead data-driven program planning, collaborate with the principal and Youth Division leadership, and align with our mission and values to reduce barriers to learning.

Focus areas include family engagement, health and wellness, academic enrichment, and year-round programs. You will supervise staff and drive continuous improvement within a collaborative, equity-focused team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work, education or related field; master's degree preferred.
• 3-5 years successful experience with underserved student populations.
• Experience leading and supervising a diverse staff.

Responsibilities

• Develop a clear, year-long, data-driven plan for program coordination and delivery.
• Build strong relationships with internal partners, parents, and community stakeholders.
• Increase parent engagement through regular communication and initiatives.
• Initiate partnerships with community agencies to provide services.
• Strengthen monitoring systems to track progress and outcomes.
• Represent Curtis High School and Children's Aid at community events.
• Hire and supervise staff delivering afterschool programs and services.
• Be an innovative leader in Community School Initiatives.
• Participate in ongoing training to strengthen practice.
