Job summary

Partnership with Children is seeking a senior leader to oversee teams of staff across community schools in New York City’s high-need districts. The role focuses on guiding social workers and community school directors to deliver integrated social, emotional, and academic supports within school settings.

The ideal candidate has deep experience in social work leadership, a commitment to equity, and a track record of building collaborative partnerships with principals, families, and district staff

Qualifications

• Licensed as LCSW in New York State with SIFI certification.
• Minimum of 8 years post-master’s social work experience.
• At least 4 years in supervision or management of social workers.
• Strong knowledge of school as setting for social work practice and collaboration with school staff.
• Proven ability to develop and implement annual work plans aligned to budget.
• Excellent engagement, communication and presentation skills with principals and parents.

Responsibilities

• Conduct weekly administrative supervision of direct reports (Social Work Directors and Community School Directors).
• Develop staff leadership skills, conflict resolution and data-informed decision making.
• Lead crisis management for children and youth in schools.
• Build and maintain collaborations with principals, school staff and district partners.
• Ensure program fidelity to the community school model.
• Oversee integration into school culture and community engagement.
• Lead annual work plans, strategic goals and budget alignment.
• Monitor milestones and maintain fiscal accountability.
