Counseling In Schools is seeking a dynamic Community School Director to lead our Canarsie/Flatlands high school partnership. The Director serves as the primary link between CIS, school leadership, families, and community partners, driving coordinated student supports.

The role requires building relationships, managing a team, stewarding data and budgets, and aligning programming with school priorities. Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) and 3+ years in education or nonprofit leadership are

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
• Minimum 3 years in education, youth development, nonprofit leadership, school operations, or related field.
• Experience managing budgets and multiple projects.
• Experience working in a school setting preferred.
• Experience supervising staff and coordinating teams.
• Strong relationship-building, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office, Google Workspace, Excel, Canva, and presentation tools.

Aufgaben

• Serve as liaison between CIS, NYCPS Office of Community Schools, and the school community.
• Create family engagement opportunities through workshops, orientations, celebrations, and events; oversee emergency resources.
• Lead planning and implementation of school-wide projects and partnerships; manage timelines and stakeholder communication.
• Supervise on-site CIS staff and monitor data systems; manage budgets and reporting.
