Job summary

The Educational Alliance Inc. is seeking a full‑time Community School Director to lead a CSYD site in New York City. You will oversee operations, ensure effective delivery of educational and supportive services, and promote student development and college and career readiness.

Work closely with school leadership, partners, and families to align school and community resources, manage attendance, and drive improvements across the expanded learning day.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of program management experience.
• Strong ownership of programs driving efficiency and excellence.
• Ability to work effectively with school-aged youth, educators, families and diverse communities.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Passion for innovation and creative problem solving.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Advise the principal and coordinate activities among school partners.
• Collaborate with school leadership to track progress and outcomes.
• Organize Community School Team (CST) meetings and support the Community School Plan.
• Build relationships with parents, students, and teachers and clarify roles.
• Collaborate with leadership and partners to add expanded learning activities to the schedule.
• Link school day with activities and coordinate cross‑agency services.
• Participate in attendance data monitoring and interventions.
• Organize assessments and targeted interventions for high-need students.
• Coordinate vision screenings and health services with local partners.
