Job summary

The Community School Director at Curtis High School, representing Children’s Aid, will lead holistic programs to reduce chronic absenteeism, strengthen family engagement, and improve student health and academic enrichment.

You will collaborate with the principal and school leaders to design a year‑round, data‑driven plan that removes barriers to learning and coordinates services during school hours, after school, and in summer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, education or related field; master’s degree preferred.
• 3-5 years successful experience with underserved student populations.
• Experience leading and supervising a diverse staff.

Responsibilities

• Actively collaborate with the principal and school leaders to develop a year-long, data-driven plan for program coordination.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal partners, parents, and community stakeholders.
• Increase parent/caregiver involvement through regular communication and creative engagement initiatives.
• Develop partnerships with community agencies to provide relevant services.
• Strengthen monitoring systems to track student progress and program outcomes.
