Job summary

Commonwealth Senior Living at Leigh Hall is seeking a Community Scheduler to organize daily, weekly, and monthly staff rotations for our Virginia community. This full-time role focuses on scheduling, ensuring proper staffing per regulations and keeping overtime under control.

Responsibilities

• Creates and maintains staff schedules daily, weekly and monthly per state guidelines and department head supervision.
• Maintains and schedules sick, vacation, and long term leave requests.
• Publish the schedule by the 15th of the month for the following month.
• Maintain overtime under control and under 3% threshold.
• Communicate hiring needs based on hard-to-fill shifts and positions.

Job description

Pay range: $20.00-$21.00 per hour.

Position details

• Full-time, Monday to Friday; Supports scheduling and concierge duties.

The Community Scheduler is responsible for preparing and publishing the schedule for the community while ensuring proper staffing levels are maintained per regulation and overtime is minimized.

Qualifications

• Computer skills including but not limited to MS Office, email, and scheduling software, preferablyOnShift
• Interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to juggle swing shifts and the individual availability of all staff
• Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills
• Ability to work independently
• Staffing and scheduling experience preferred
