Job summary

Commonwealth Senior Living is seeking a Community Scheduler to manage staff schedules, publish the monthly roster, and ensure proper staffing levels in accordance with state regulations.

This full-time role from Monday to Friday emphasizes minimizing overtime, coordinating sick and vacation coverage, and communicating staffing needs to department heads while using MS Office and OnShift.

Qualifications

• Proficient with MS Office, email, and scheduling software (OnShift preferred).
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to juggle swings and accommodate staff availability.
• Staffing and scheduling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and publish daily, weekly, and monthly staff schedules.
• Manage sick, vacation, and long-term leave requests.
• Post the schedule by the 15th of the month for the next month.
• Maintain overtime below the 3% threshold.
• Communicate hiring needs for hard-to-fill shifts.

Job description

Pay range: $20.00-$21.00 per hour.

Position details

• Full-time, Monday to Friday; Supports scheduling and concierge duties.

The Community Scheduler is responsible for preparing and publishing the schedule for the community while ensuring proper staffing levels are maintained per regulation and overtime is minimized.

Qualifications

• Computer skills including but not limited to MS Office, email, and scheduling software, preferablyOnShift
• Interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to juggle swing shifts and the individual availability of all staff
• Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills
• Ability to work independently
• Staffing and scheduling experience preferred

Areas of Primary Responsibility
