Job summary

Arlington Properties is seeking a part-time Courtesy Officer for one of its multifamily communities in Tuscumbia, AL. The role focuses on maintaining a welcoming environment while ensuring resident safety.

You will walk the grounds daily, respond to incidents, assist residents with non-emergency needs, and monitor common areas. A background in law enforcement or military service is preferred; a high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• Active or retired law enforcement experience preferred.
• Military background acceptable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in all situations.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible security presence on the property by patrolling grounds daily.
• Respond to disturbances, de-escalate situations, and assist residents with non-emergency needs.
• Assist residents with lockouts and other safety-related requests.
• Monitor common areas (pools, laundry, fitness facilities) and report maintenance needs.
• Observe and report vandalism or suspicious activity; coordinate with local authorities as needed.
