Job summary

Lexington Rescue Mission seeks a Resource Specialist to assess client needs, provide case management, and connect guests with emergency assistance and community resources. The role centers on direct client interaction, documentation, and advocacy.

The RS works weekdays with some evenings and weekends, collaborates with partners, maintains records in Mission Tracker, and helps coordinate services from food to housing supports. A Bachelor’s degree or 5 years direct client services are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field or 5 years direct client services.
• Experience with direct-client work and team collaboration.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Connect clients to in-kind emergency assistance and community resources.
• Provide in-depth case management and record progress in Mission Tracker.
• Develop knowledge of public programs and assist with documentation.
• Attend staff and team meetings and adapt to changing priorities.
• Maintain confidentiality and coordinate referrals with partners.
