Lexington Rescue Mission seeks a Resource Specialist to assess client needs, provide case management, and connect guests with emergency assistance and community resources. The role centers on direct client interaction, documentation, and advocacy.
The RS works weekdays with some evenings and weekends, collaborates with partners, maintains records in Mission Tracker, and helps coordinate services from food to housing supports. A Bachelor’s degree or 5 years direct client services are required.
The Resource Specialist (RS) works directly with clients, meeting with them to assess their needs, care for them, and serve them through Resource Assistance and walk-ins. The RS provides case management, education, and advocacy to help guests connect with community resources. Also, the RC provides individualized case management for those who need additional assistance to increase well-being and move towards housing stabilization. It is a full-time position, primarily week days but may have some evenings and weekends required.
