Job summary

NFI Massachusetts, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Transitional Coach to support justice-involved individuals reentering the community through the STAR program in Lynn, MA. The role emphasizes outreach, engagement, and skill-building to foster stability and independence.

You will connect participants with resources, assist with barriers to services, and document progress in the EHR while aligning with program goals and organizational policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience in workforce development or reentry services.
• Strong engagement and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently in community-based settings.
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct outreach and engagement with individuals in the community.
• Build connections with local resources and referral networks.
• Assist with barriers to services (transportation, language, finances).
• Support applications for employment, housing, and public benefits.
• Accompany individuals to court appearances and appointments as needed.
• Provide coaching, guidance, and accountability to support participation and goals.
• Coordinate transitions between services and providers.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Ensure compliance with NFI Massachusetts and ECSD policies.
