Job summary

Loudoun County Government is hiring for Recreation Programmer roles to build and sustain engaging community programs at our centers.

You will design, implement, and manage activities for youth through seniors, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility while coordinating events and campaigns. A strong emphasis on community feedback, marketing, and staff supervision supports our aim to serve diverse neighborhoods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and 2 years related work experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Jotform, Canva, Trello, and/or department software.
• Proficient verbal and written communication abilities.
• Skilled in marketing and promoting programs.
• Managing large-scale events and conducting outreach in a community setting.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage diverse recreational programs tailored to community needs.
• Actively engage with community members to assess needs and ensure inclusivity.
• Organize and oversee all aspects of special events including marketing, logistics, budgeting, staffing.
• Develop and implement a marketing strategy to ensure high participation in programs.
• Supervise part-time instructors and seasonal staff; recruit, onboard, schedule, and train.
