Job summary

Loudoun County Parks, Recreation & Community Services (PRCS) is hiring Recreation Programmers to help establish a new center as a vibrant community hub across Loudoun. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and managing programs that serve youth, teens, adults, and seniors.

Responsibilities include engaging with residents to assess needs, organizing events, marketing, supervising staff, and ensuring inclusive, accessible programming across multiple locations in Virginia.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; two years of related work experience preferred.
• Knowledge of recreation programs for youth, teens, adults, and seniors is a plus.
• Proficiency with Office Suite and basic marketing tools is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage diverse recreational programs for our community.
• Engage with community members to assess needs and ensure inclusive, accessible programming.
• Organize and oversee special events with marketing, logistics, budgeting, permitting, and staffing.
• Develop and implement a marketing strategy to maximize participation in programs.
• Supervise part-time instructors and seasonal staff, including recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and training.
• Utilize recreation management software (RecTrac) and Office tools to deliver efficient program administration and customer service.
