Job summary

Loudoun County Parks, Recreation & Community Services (PRCS) invites applications for Recreation Programmer roles to help launch a new community center and deliver diverse programs for youth, adults, seniors, and special populations.

Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and managing programs; coordinating events; marketing and outreach; supervising staff; and using RecTrac and MS Office tools. A high school diploma and 2 years' related experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required, plus 2 years of related work experience.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage diverse recreational programs tailored to community needs.
• Engage with community members to assess needs and ensure inclusive access.
• Organize and oversee all aspects of special events, including marketing, logistics, budgeting, and staffing.
• Develop and implement a marketing strategy to maximize participation in recreation programs.
• Supervise part-time instructors and seasonal staff, including recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and training.
• Utilize recreation management software, Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, RecTrac, and related tools for efficient program administration.
• Perform other duties as assigned in alignment with departmental goals.
