Job summary

Meals on Wheels Central Texas in Austin seeks a Community Programs Coordinator to manage all aspects of MOWCTX programming within a defined territory, focusing on volunteer coordination, program delivery, outreach, and site support.

You will be the primary contact for volunteers and partners, recruit and retain volunteers, update databases, and ensure service excellence across Southeast Austin, with travel to multiple sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; experience preferred.
• 1+ year in volunteer coordination or program management.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Salesforce experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
• Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Regular travel to multiple service locations in the Greater Austin Area.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead operational contact for all program activities in assigned area.
• Coordinate daily meal delivery operations including route planning and volunteer assignments.
• Recruit, onboard, and retain volunteers through outreach and relationships.
• Maintain volunteer and client databases with accurate service documentation.
• Conduct site visits to engage volunteers and monitor service quality.
• Coordinate volunteer recognition, milestones, and engagement events.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure integrated services.
• Represent MOWCTX at community events and volunteer fairs.
• Monitor and report program metrics and community engagement outcomes.
• Support substitute delivery and operational coverage as needed.
• Contribute to organizational goals through meal shifts and office support.
