Job summary

Opportunities for Williamson & Burnet Counties in Taylor, TX, is seeking a Kitchen Site Assistant to support meal planning, preparation, and delivery through Meals On Wheels and Head Start programs. This role may become the primary delivery driver for MOW and backup for the lead cook in their absence.

The position reports to the Site Director and requires adherence to safety, health, and sanitation standards while working with volunteers and program staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in kitchen or meal delivery preferred but not required.
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment and follow safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal planning, preparation, and delivery.
• Serve as kitchen lead in Lead Cook's absence when needed.
• Deliver meals to participants and assist with setup for Head Start meals.
• Maintain safety, sanitation, and inventory records in the kitchen.
