Job summary

The City of San Ramon invites energetic individuals to join Forest Home Farms Historic Park as a Recreation Lead. You will engage visitors, lead educational tours, and support weekly activities while helping with curriculum and publicity.

The role offers up to 20 hours per week with weekday, evening, weekend and holiday flexibility. Most hours occur during the school year; the position is seasonal/temporary with no benefits, and includes basic sick leave accrual after qualifying days.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to lead and oversee daily program participants and activities.
• Two years of recreation experience or equivalent is expected.
• Background check/fingerprinting and TB clearance may be required on hire.
• Licenses and certifications include First Aid and CPR/AED.
• Proficiency with basic office tasks and registration software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff and train volunteers for events and education programs.
• Plan and direct weekly farm education activities and weekend programs.
• Coordinate schedules, budgets, and facility use for programs.
• Assist with promotional materials and public communications.
