Job summary

The City and County of San Francisco is seeking Recreation Leaders to support operations across parks and recreation facilities. These positions include program delivery in arts and sports as well as management tasks throughout the city.

Successful candidates will have a High School Diploma and varying hours of recreation instruction experience, with opportunities for skill development. This temporary role does not include benefits and offers a pay rate ranging from $25.89 to $34.86 per hour depending on the position level.

Qualifications

• 500 qualifying recreation instruction/programming hours for Recreation Leader I.
• 1,000 qualifying recreation instruction/programming hours for Recreation Leader II.
• 1,000 qualifying recreation instruction/programming hours and a valid certificate for Recreation Leader III.

Responsibilities

• Assist with program delivery and monitor facilities.
• Deliver exciting recreation programs and activities in group settings.
• Provide certified, advanced program instruction where required.
• Set up and take down facility tables and chairs.
• Work within various programming areas like Community Services Programming.

Skills

Strong analysis, planning, organization, and research skills
