Food & Friends Inc in Washington, DC is seeking a Social Services Coordinator to support outreach, enrollment, and client services for individuals with life-challenging illnesses. This entry-level role requires a high school diploma, willingness to work on site, and strong communication; responsibilities include client outreach, enrollment steps, and maintaining client records.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Culturally competent when serving diverse populations.
Spanish language skills are a plus.
Must be willing to work onsite.

Mansioni

Conduct proactive outreach to prospective clients.
Prepare and mail letters explaining program benefits, eligibility, and enrollment steps.
Call prospective clients to explain services and enroll individuals into the medically tailored meal program.
Collect, document, and enter all client and outreach information into the client database.
Provide first-day meal deliveries to new clients and orient them to program services and expectations.
Maintain ongoing communication with clients to follow up on services and address questions or concerns; and
Assist with the production and distribution of client- and service-related materials.
