Job summary

Goodwill San Antonio is seeking a Specialist – Outreach and Recruitment to support its Workforce Development Unit. The role represents programs at community events, builds referral networks, and connects participants with training and job placement opportunities.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree (bachelor's preferred) and 1–3 years in nonprofit settings, with strong communication and partnership-building skills. This is a full-time, on-site position based in San Antonio, TX.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
• 1–3 years in nonprofit, social services, workforce development, career school or related fields.
• Experience in customer service and/or client engagement with at-risk populations is a plus.
• Experience in education, career training, or job placement services is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to organize and present material.
• Experience in workforce development and community partnerships is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Upholds Goodwill's mission, core values, and servant leadership philosophy.
• Assist the program manager with developing a strategic outreach plan.
• Implement outreach and recruitment plans to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
• Develop referral streams with community stakeholders and partners.
• Represent the program at events and community meetings; deliver presentations.
• Support program events related to education, training, and employment.
• Follow up with no-shows or interest that did not enroll.
