Job summary

Jewish Community Council of Greater Coney Island is seeking an Outreach and Program Coordinator for the Older Adult Center program in Brooklyn. The role supports daily operations, programming, outreach, and community engagement, promoting awareness of Older Adult Center services and coordinating events and activities.

The position requires a bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred), at least two years in outreach or program coordination, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Services, Gerontology, Recreation, Communications, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of two years of experience in community outreach, program coordination, social services, recreation, or related field preferred.
• Experience with Older Adult populations preferred.
• Experience in outreach, marketing, public relations, volunteer coordination, or community engagement preferred.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement outreach and marketing strategies to promote Older Adult Center programs, services, activities, and resources.
• Build and maintain relationships with community stakeholders, including merchants, medical offices, hospitals, housing developments, and partner organizations.
• Represent the Center at events, meetings, and outreach activities to promote services and engage potential participants.
