Job summary

The Program Coordinator at JASA's Holliswood Older Adult Center in Queens will coordinate daily programming, engage participants, and support center operations to create a welcoming, inclusive environment for older adults.

This role focuses on developing activities, maintaining records, assisting with events, and fostering community connections while ensuring accessible, dignified services and strong collaboration with staff and volunteers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree preferred.
• 1+ year experience in program coordination or related field preferred.
• Experience working with older adults a plus.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and implement recreational, educational, cultural, and social activities for older adults.
• Develop programs that encourage social interaction, wellness, creativity, and lifelong learning.
• Assist with organizing events, celebrations, and community activities.
• Maintain program calendars and activity schedules.
• Ensure activities are inclusive and responsive to participants' interests and needs.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and program documentation.
• Support center operations and collaboration with staff and volunteers.
