Job summary

The JCC of Northern NJ, located in West Nyack, NY, seeks a Community & Outreach Manager to build partnerships, develop programs for J on the Go and PJ Library, and raise awareness of the organization’s mission.

You will lead events, recruit and mentor volunteers, engage community leaders, and report on outcomes to support grants, with potential growth to a Director role within 12–18 months.

Qualifications

• Design, implement, and manage community outreach goals and programs.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with community leaders, local businesses, and partner organizations.
• Plan, organize, and staff community events and outreach initiatives, including evening and Sunday activities.
• Advise on social media and written materials; create targeted enrollment campaigns.
• Assess community needs, collect data on program impact, and report outcomes for grants.
• Recruit, train, and supervise Volunteers and Parent Connectors; oversee leadership development.

Responsibilities

• Act as a bridge between JCC of Northern NJ and the public; develop partnerships and programs.
• Foster engagement within the community and visibility of the organization.
• Lead and staff events, manage monthly family activities, and supervise staff involved.
• Develop enrollment campaigns and communications for outreach initiatives.
• Gather data on program impact and report to grantors; support grants applications.
• Oversee leadership development and volunteer programs to grow the organization.
