Job summary

Cedar Wellness Center in Tacoma, WA is seeking a Community Outreach Coordinator to engage community partners, coordinate health events, and connect patients to services. You will represent the clinic, build referral networks, maintain outreach calendars, and support outreach programs to combat the opioid crisis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• One year of equivalent or two years related experience.
• Proof of valid Washington driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Ability to travel short to moderate distances.
• Excellent prioritization and organization skills.
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Intermediate-level PC skills.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Develop and work with agencies and service providers to facilitate coordination and information sharing; provide support services as applicable.
• Participate in health fairs, community events, and other events where the target population gathers.
• Maintain a calendar of outreach activities, including community events, workshops, appearances, and other communication opportunities.
• Establish and maintain positive working relationships with current and potential referral sources.
• Maintain comprehensive working knowledge of the clinic’s markets including government agencies, major payor groups, key referral sources, and competitor’s market positioning.
• Maintain comprehensive working knowledge of community resources and assist patients in accessing community resources.
• Participate in staff meetings and work with other administrative staff as required.
• Maintain professional and congenial attitude toward coworkers, patients, agencies, and members in the community.
