Job summary

Mark-Taylor is seeking a Manager of Community Operations (Community Manager) for an East Valley community in Chandler, AZ. This role focuses on keeping our communities running smoothly by handling maintenance repairs and contributing to the upkeep of the community, while providing the five-star service that makes Mark-Taylor communities feel like home.

You will manage rent performance, operating expenses, and staff through coaching, HR processes, and regular property inspections.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years as a multi-family community manager.
• Strong conflict management and critical thinking to resolve resident and employee concerns.
• Strong financial acumen with managing budgets, invoices, and community financial performance.
• Demonstrated client relations skills with the ability to build and maintain strong ownership and client partnerships.
• Proven ability to coach, develop, and motivate team members while fostering a positive employee experience.
• Experience with invoice management, project management, and coordinating community initiatives.
• Strong market analysis skills with the ability to understand market trends and apply insights to community performance.
• Strong resident relations and retention skills with the focus is delivering an exceptional resident experience.
• Experience managing community reputation and maintaining a positive presence within the market.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional presence.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and property management software preferred.
• A basic understanding of written and verbal English.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed targeted revenue by setting rent rates, managing operating expenses, and diligently monitoring aged delinquency. Prepare and review monthly financial reports with intuitive forecasting and a proactive plan for the financial performance of the asset.
• Coach, mentor, and inspire a team of administrative and service personnel, coordinating their activities and individual goals through tactical planning.
• Oversee the hiring process and ongoing employee performance management through courageous conversations and applicable HR processes.
• Conduct regular property inspections, propose, and own the resolution plan and execution of property enhancements.
