The ideal candidate has experience in housing, property management, leasing, or customer service and should be organized, solution-oriented, and capable of building positive relationships with residents and staff.

Qualifications

  • Requires High School Diploma or GED.
  • Requires valid driver's license and ability to maintain auto insurance.
  • Must be able to pass background checks.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Experience in property management, housing, leasing, customer service, or related field.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of supportive housing communities.
  • Coordinate leasing activities, move-ins, move-outs, and applicant screening.
  • Maintain compliance with affordable housing regulations and program requirements.
  • Complete resident certifications, documentation, and file management.
  • Conduct inspections and coordinate maintenance needs with property staff.
  • Collect rent and maintain accurate financial and operational records.
  • Address resident concerns and resolve lease-related issues professionally.
  • Partner with supportive services staff to promote successful tenancy and housing stability.
  • Help ensure properties remain safe, clean, welcoming, and well-maintained.

Help Create Stable Housing and Stronger Communities Volunteers of America Eastern Washington & Northern Idaho is seeking a Community Manager to oversee daily operations at supportive housing properties in Spokane. This is an opportunity for an experienced professional in housing, property management, leasing, hospitality, or customer service who wants to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families working toward housing stability. In this role, you'll balance property operations, compliance, and resident relations while working alongside a supportive team dedicated to helping residents succeed. If you're organized, solution-oriented, and able to build positive relationships while maintaining professional boundaries, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

Requirements
What You'll Bring

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

  • High School Diploma or GED

It's a Bonus If You Have
  • HUD and/or LIHTC experience
  • CAM, CPM, or similar certification
  • Experience in supportive housing, behavioral health, or human services

Compensation & Benefits
  • $25.00 per hour
  • 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance (approx. $12,000-$15,000 annual value)
