Volunteers of America Eastern Washington & Northern Idaho seeks a Community Manager to oversee operations at supportive housing properties in Spokane. The role balances property operations, compliance, and resident relations with a collaborative team dedicated to housing stability.

The ideal candidate has housing, property management, leasing, hospitality, or customer service experience and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to pass required background checks.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Experience in property management, housing, leasing, customer service, or related field.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of supportive housing communities.
• Coordinate leasing activities, move-ins, move-outs, and applicant screening.
• Maintain compliance with affordable housing regulations and program requirements.
• Complete resident certifications, documentation, and file management.
• Conduct inspections and coordinate maintenance with property staff.
• Collect rent and maintain financial/operational records.
• Address resident concerns and resolve lease-related issues professionally.
• Partner with supportive services staff to promote tenancy and housing stability.
• Ensure properties are safe, clean, welcoming, and well-maintained.
