The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of multi‑family management, experience with LIHTC/HUD, and a strong eye for detail, budgets, and resident services. This is a full‑time on‑site position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years managing a multi-family community.
  • Experience with LIHTC or HUD programs preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Fair Housing and Oregon landlord-tenant laws.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure property meets ownership goals and complies with laws.
  • Supervise staff and vendors to deliver resident services and curb appeal.
  • Handle government reporting and site audits timely.
  • Manage multiple sites and LIHTC/HUD requirements as needed.
  • Oversee monthly financials, budgets, cash flow, and collections.
  • Coordinate income certifications, rent rolls, and delinquencies.
  • Oversee leasing activities and tenant compliance enforcement.
  • Develop staff, review time records, and protect confidentiality.
  • Lead staff and safety meetings and maintain corporate documentation.
  • Collaborate with corporate for process improvements.

Community Manager

Full Time | Chenowith Rim, The Dalles, OR

Schedule: 40 hours per week; Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

Compensation: $25.00 – $27.00 / hr (DOE) + bonus eligible.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure the property meets ownership goals and objectives, enforces management policies and procedures, and complies with Fair Housing and Landlord‑Tenant laws.
  • Supervise property staff and vendors to deliver outstanding resident service, maintain curb appeal, perform timely maintenance, and safeguard the property’s financial health.
  • Confirm compliance with all government and property‑program requirements and complete required paperwork and reports on time.
  • Manage multiple sites and all aspects of affordable property management operations (LIHTC/HUD program requirements preferred).
  • Handle monthly financial reporting, budget analysis, cash management, and collection strategies.
  • Coordinate resident income certifications, rent roll accuracy, and delinquent account collection.
  • Oversee leasing activities, including tenant billings, lease clauses, vacancy reporting, and enforcement of tenant compliance.
  • Develop, hire, evaluate, coach, and discipline staff; approve staff time records and vendor invoices; maintain confidentiality.
  • Lead site staff meetings, safety meetings, and maintain documentation for corporate reporting.
  • Work collaboratively with corporate departments and pursue continuous process improvements.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 2 years managing a multi‑family community.
  • At least 1 year working in affordable housing (LIHTC/HUD) or relevant industry.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • Strong understanding of and willingness to enforce Fair Housing and Landlord‑Tenant laws in Oregon.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, customer service, and mathematical skills.
  • Basic technology, internet, and computer skills with willingness to learn new programs.
  • Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing).
  • Ability to complete company training and attend additional sessions as required.
