Job summary

Brighthaven Communities in Oakland is seeking a seasoned Community Manager to oversee operations, drive resident satisfaction, and deliver strong financial performance across our properties.

The role requires leadership, LIHTC knowledge, and the ability to collaborate with senior executives, vendor partners, and staff to ensure compliant, high-quality service for residents and the organization.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in the property management industry.
• 2+ years of experience as a community/property manager.
• Knowledge of LIHTC and Tax Credit qualifications required.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact effectively with senior executives.

Responsibilities

• Maintain positive resident experience across the full lifecycle from move-in to move-out.
• Manage budgets, rent rolls, projections, and occupancy goals.
• Coordinate on-site operations, vendor relationships, and maintenance.
• Lead and train staff, provide feedback, and promote accountability.
• Ensure compliance with Fair Housing, ADA, and local housing regulations.
• Produce monthly financials and reports.
