Job summary

Woda Cooper Companies, Inc. is hiring a Community Manager for Shelby Commons in Minneapolis, MN. You will maintain resident relations, lease units, manage budgets, and oversee property operations to deliver quality affordable housing.

The role requires strong customer service, leadership, and knowledge of housing programs, with a focus on creating a welcoming community for residents and families.

Qualifications

• Experience in affordable housing programs (LIHTC, Section 8, and HUD preferred).
• Experience with property management software preferred.
• Familiarity with Fair Housing laws preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain positive interactions with residents to enhance the community image and retention.
• Lease apartments: greet prospects, show units, take applications, verify income/credit, and renew leases on time.
• Oversee rent collection, track delinquencies, and pursue deposits and notices; attend court as needed.
• Inspect the property daily and coordinate capital improvements and repairs.
• Administer budgets and monitor monthly expenses with a budget control log.
• Communicate effectively with residents, associates, and vendors.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies and maintain confidentiality of resident information.
