Job summary

Peak Living is seeking a qualified Community Manager with tax credit experience to join our team in Michigan. Under the Regional Manager, you will oversee community operations and supervise staff to meet leasing and customer service standards.

You will ensure LIHTC compliance, manage rent collection, reporting, and budgeted occupancy, while driving marketing efforts and renewal activity. This role emphasizes profitability, tenant relations, and regulatory adherence.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years’ onsite Community Manager or Assistant Community Manager experience in multi-family housing, hospitality, or similar.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• College education, CAM or ARM certification preferred.
• Housing Credit Certified Professional (HCCP) designation preferred (LIHTC).
• Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS) designation preferred (Section 8).
• 1 year of LIHTC experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all community associates.
• Ensure property follows tax credit requirements.
• Support customer service and leasing standards.
• Respond promptly and courteously to resident requests and resolve issues.
• Direct all marketing efforts.
• Prepare paperwork for new and renewal leases.
• Determine renewal rates and deliver renewal letters to secure renewals.
• Recommend rental rate adjustments or concessions to increase activity.
• Review resident files and accounting records to collect on delinquencies and enforce the lease.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports and other related spreadsheets.
• Organize resident activities and retention programs.
• Identify and implement efficiency and profitability improvements.
• Research competitors quarterly to align rates and deposits with market.
