Related Affordable is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our buildings and grounds safe, functional, and inviting in Bloomington, IL. You will handle plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry tasks, ensuring quality work and resident satisfaction while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of general maintenance experience.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems.
• Affordable housing experience is a plus.
• Must participate in emergency on-call rotation as needed.
• Team player, reliable and proactive in problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Complete service requests in a timely manner and interact with residents to ensure their needs are met.
• Prepare vacant units to occupancy standards within established time frames.
• Inspect property mechanical systems and grounds, addressing safety issues immediately with management.
• Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs.
• Perform cleaning and upkeep of common areas and grounds.
• Assist in emergency repairs as directed by supervisors and rotate on-call for emergency maintenance.
• Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies and report any shortages.
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance activities in partnership with the supervisor.
• Shares on call every other week
• Other duties as assigned.
