Related Affordable is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our affordable housing properties safe, functional, and welcoming. The role covers plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry tasks, along with on‑call responsibilities to handle emergency repairs and assist residents with service requests.

You will support ground maintenance, prepare vacant units, and participate in preventative maintenance with supervision.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in general maintenance or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems.
• Affordable housing experience is a plus.
• Must be able to participate in the emergency on-call rotation as needed.
• Demonstrates accountability, reliability, and a proactive, resident‑centered approach.

Responsibilities

• Complete service requests in a timely manner and interact with residents to ensure needs are met.
• Prepare vacant units to occupancy standards within established time frames.
• Inspect property mechanical systems and grounds, addressing safety issues with management.
• Conduct routine maintenance tasks (plumbing, electrical, carpentry).
• Perform cleaning and upkeep of common areas and grounds.
• Assist in emergency repairs and rotate on‑call for emergency maintenance.
• Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies and report shortages.
• Conduct preventative maintenance activities in partnership with the supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.
