Related Affordable, a leading provider of affordable housing solutions in the United States, seeks a Maintenance Technician II to keep buildings safe, functional and welcoming for residents. You will handle plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry and general repairs while coordinating with the management team.

The role emphasizes on-call rotation, teamwork, and mentorship of junior staff, with a strong commitment to quality, safety and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in general maintenance or related field.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems.
• Affordable housing experience is a plus.
• Must be able to participate in the emergency on-call rotation as needed.
• Demonstrates accountability and reliability with attention to detail and proactive problem-solving.
• Willingness to embrace feedback and continuous improvement.
• Strong belief in teamwork and collaboration.
• Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Complete service requests in a timely manner and interact with residents to ensure needs are met.
• Prepare vacant units to occupancy standards within established time frames.
• Inspect property mechanical systems and grounds, addressing safety issues immediately with management.
• Conduct advanced routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs.
• Perform cleaning and upkeep of common areas and grounds.
• Train and mentor junior maintenance staff as needed.
• Inspect property and address maintenance concerns proactively.
• Assist in emergency repairs and rotate on-call for emergency maintenance.
• Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies and report shortages.
