Job summary

YES Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep the community grounds safe, organized, well-maintained, and stocked with supplies. You will interact with residents, handle service requests and inspections, and support asset upkeep.

The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and proper maintenance of facilities, with on-call duties and adherence to state PPE requirements and OSHA standards. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license (in-state) required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous home refurbishment/make-ready experience preferred.
• HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Pool Operation experience a plus.
• OSHA certifications or trainings are a plus.
• Proficiency with industry-specific software and tablets.

Responsibilities

• Maintain rental inventory through preventive maintenance, work-orders, and home refurbishments.
• Keep the community grounds, common areas, and vacant lots clean and debris-free.
• Complete work in a timely manner, upholding safety and quality standards.
• Respond to after-hour emergency calls as per on-call schedule.
• Read water meters, identify leaks, and resolve issues within the community.
• Organize maintenance facilities, tools, and equipment.
• Assist in new home delivery and setup; report warranty/follow-up work.
• Deliver resident notices as requested by management.
• Participate in safety meetings.
• Uphold OSHA standards and PPE as required by state law.
• Maintain safe winter road conditions through snow removal and de-icing when applicable.
• Operate and maintain company vehicles according to safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and residents.
• Work safely around pets, service animals, and wildlife.
• Additional duties as assigned by management.
