Job summary

Sun Communities is seeking Maintenance Technicians to perform routine and preventative maintenance across our communities in Maryland. You will handle repairs, ensure clean and safe grounds, assist contractors, and support move-in/out inspections.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, the ability to lift 50 lbs, and a valid driver’s license. A positive, service-oriented attitude and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (Required).
• 6 months in previous maintenance experience in the apartment or manufactured housing industry (Preferred).
• 6 months in snow removal experience (Preferred).
• 6 months in general maintenance techniques and repair work (Preferred).
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and work outdoors in temperature fluctuations.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance to maintain community properties.
• Handle repairs to rental homes and facilities and ensure upkeep of grounds and facilities.
• Inspect irrigation, water systems, and meters; report issues and perform minor repairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of buildings, clubhouses, restrooms, and maintenance areas.
• Assist with supervision of service contractors and safety procedures.
• Support move-in/move-out inspections and on-call duties as required.
