Midland County is seeking a paraprofessional library assistant to provide friendly, high-quality customer service at the service desk and assist with a variety of library operations. You will help shelve materials, maintain collections, collect small fees, and support programs for children, teens, and adults.

Responsibilities also include assisting with registration, computer use guidance, and basic troubleshooting of devices, while promoting library services and ensuring a welcoming environment

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent; basic computer skills.
• Two to three years of library, clerical and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Able to speak, read, and/or write Spanish is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Greet visitors at the service desk and prepare the desk for operation.
• Shelve and file library materials accurately and assist in maintaining collections.
• Collect fees for damaged or lost items and balance cash drawer daily.
• Register patrons and issue or update library cards.
• Assist with programs and outreach activities and track attendance.
