Job summary

The Fort Vancouver Regional Library District seeks a Branch Manager to lead the Goldendale Community Library. This role oversees staff, operations, and patron services while guiding programs and collections for a rural community.

You will supervise staff, manage budgets, coordinate outreach, and build positive relationships with community partners, representing the district in local initiatives.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from an ALA-accredited program or ability to obtain a WA state certification on hire.
• Three to five years of related work experience with customer service.
• Two to five years of supervisory experience managing people or projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee branch operations including staff, volunteers, circulation and public services.
• Lead budgeting, staffing, and operating cost planning; participate in district strategic planning.
• Supervise staff; provide performance feedback; hire staff and model customer service.
• Build community relationships and coordinate with Friends of the Library.
• Plan and conduct community outreach and programming for all ages.
• Ensure safety and coordinate facilities and IT for branch operations.
