Responsibilities

  • Plan and prepare weekly/monthly menus that meet nutritional guidelines.
  • Cook and serve balanced meals according to schedule.
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, dining area, and equipment.
  • Sanitize surfaces after each meal service.
  • Manage inventory and rotate stock with accurate records.
  • Follow all food safety procedures at all times.
  • Report equipment issues or safety concerns promptly.
  • Maintain necessary certifications and permits per city/state regulations.
  • Interact respectfully with clients, volunteers, and staff.
  • Represent The Salvation Army’s mission and values in all interactions.
  • Refer individuals with spiritual needs to Corps Officers.
